Founded in 1948 to bring attention to the threats to world animals, the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) has developed the following categories of threat levels to species' survival:

NE	NOT EVALUATED
DD	DATA DEFICIENT
LC	LEAST CONCERN
NT	NEAR THREATENED
VU	VULNERABLE
EN	ENDANGERED
CR	CRITICALLY ENDANGERED
EW	EXTINCT IN THE WILD
EX	EXTINCT

In this series of shows we will be discussing mainly classes EN through EW.

These shows are a free service for the
countries and groups working to protect
and save our wildlife.  The shows are
